KD Volunteer Staff
The KD volunteers assist with program planning & implementation. These volunteers are dedicated to creatively designing the academy program and work together produce an excellent academy experience each year. From developing mentoring curriculum to event planning, volunteers take the academy themes and bring life to them. Here are specific ways volunteers can assist KD:
Marketing- This team is in charge of marketing and promotions for the program. The tasks range from online event postings to attending community events to sign-up participants and distribute marketing materials. Volunteers work with the Graphic Designer to produce engaging marketing materials & promotional products for the program.
Correspondence- Volunteers provide assistance in getting emails, postcards & program materials to local churches, agencies, recreational centers, etc.
Academy Planning- The academy planning team assists with brainstorming ideas to bring the academy to life. From program planning to identifying the right facilitators, event facilities, catering to program materials, volunteers develop the theme & coordinate the yearly mentoring academy. This team also plans the quarterly mentoring events for the program.
Site Coordinators- Volunteers assist new sites with site applications, membership enrollment, materials, etc. for program implementation.
Fundraising- Volunteers lead the charge to raise much needed funding for the organization via online, donor directed, grants & corporate sponsorship funding.
